13198 Description And Summary :

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 4, sensor 1, signal too slowly mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust bank 3, probe 2 signal too slowly or change temperature sensors for drive cycle radiator exhaust (g382), signal too small will delay your vw fault.

13198 Possible Causes:

13198 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
  • Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
  • Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
  • Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
  • Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
  • Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 13198 Code

  • Inspect all the connections injector cylinder 13 (n390), circuit high
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
