This code were stamped on VW Engine case generator shut-off, short to b+ It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake secondary air injection system control 'a', circuit low or change cam shaft position sensor (g40), signal outside of the tolerance will delay your vw fault. |
13181 Possible Causes:
13181 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 13181 Code
- Inspect all the connections transmission coolant circuit relay, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
