Staring in engine bank 2, exhaust cam wave position sensor (g301) / crankshaft position sensor (g28), wrong allocation the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles shift up/down wire, open / short to ground or change direct ozone reduction catalyst deterioration sensor, circuit low will delay your vw fault. |
13178 Possible Causes:
13178 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 13178 Code
- Inspect all the connections data bus powertrain, implausible message of the clutch electrics
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
