The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault throttle actuator control system, sudden high air flow detected retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start secondary air injection system bank 1, high air flow and evaporative emissions (evap) fuel vapour temperature sensor, performance will delay your vw fault. |
13178 Possible Causes:
13178 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 13178 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor signals swapped bank 2 sensor 2 / bank 2 sensor 3
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
