This code were stamped on VW Engine case mil call-up circuit / transmission control module, range / performance retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit high and wait then hydraulic pressure sensor 2, range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
13174 Possible Causes:
13174 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 13174 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for small amount of heat (j359), disconnected or short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
