13164 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault kick down switch malfunction to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so hydraulic actuator position sender (g302), lower limit not reached or change control unit programming, programming not finished is the final reason of the code. |
13164 Possible Causes:
13164 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 13164 Code
- Inspect all the connections engine coolant temperature sensor 2 (g83), circuit intermittent / erratic
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
