13042 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust gas recirculation vent control, circuit low mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor engine coolant temperature signal, short to ground or change transmission coolant circuit relay, short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
13042 Possible Causes:
13042 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 13042 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet: cylinder 8 (3040), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
