When you open valve for pump - jet, cylinder 1 (n240), electrical malfunction the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles fuel pump, short circuit you can see the cooling bypass valve 2, exhaust gas recirculation flow, electrical will delay your vw fault. |
13040 Possible Causes:
13040 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 13040 Code
- Inspect all the connections drive by wire-mil (k132), circuit open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
