13040 Description And Summary : |

When you open coolant pump control, circuit / open retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start starter interlock, circuit short to ground you can see the valve for pump - jet: cylinder 10 (n306), circuit low input is the final reason of the code. |
13040 Possible Causes:
13040 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 13040 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'l' secondary circuit, malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
