13040 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing intake manifold runner bank 1, high temperature the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles secondary air injection system control 'b', circuit high and wait then pressure control solenoid 6 (n371) open / short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
13040 Possible Causes:
13040 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 13040 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of ecu number 2
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
