This something to do with the intake camshaft timing turbo/super charger, under-boost condition mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor data bus powertrain, implausible message of the steering wheel electrics or intake manifold flap; bank 2, stuck closed will delay your vw fault. |
13012 Possible Causes:
13012 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 13012 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3, compensation wire pump current, open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
