12999 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing coolant pump control, circuit high causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system ecm/pcm power input, signal high and pressure sensor for brake boost (g294), short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
12999 Possible Causes:
12999 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12999 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for intake manifold flap (n239), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
