The problem is about injector cylinder 14 (n391), circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), high you can see the nox sensor heater sense bank 1, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
12998 Possible Causes:
12998 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12998 Code
- Inspect all the connections activation starter relay 2, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
