This something to do with the intake camshaft timing please check dtc memory of central electric ecu to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so valve for pump - jet, cylinder 1 (n240), electrical malfunction or fuel pressure regulator 2 control circuit low will delay your vw fault. |
12993 Possible Causes:
12993 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 12993 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust pressure regulator vent solenoid, control circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
