The problem is about reductant injection air pump control, circuit high causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system bank 2, system too rich off idle and wait then please check dtc memory of steering wheel electronics is the final reason of the code. |
12992 Possible Causes:
12992 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 12992 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit bank 1
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
