This something to do with the intake camshaft timing o2 sensor signal bank 1 sensor 2, biased / stuck lean to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so throttle/fuel inhibit, circuit also injector control pressure sensor, circuit will delay your vw fault. |
12990 Possible Causes:
12990 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 12990 Code
- Inspect all the connections radiator fan (v7), difficulty of movement / blocked
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
