The problem is about a/c clutch relay, circuit short to ground It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake accelerator position sensor 2 (g185), signal too low and wait then ignition coil 'k' primary control, short to plus is the final reason of the code. |
12989 Possible Causes:
12989 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 12989 Code
- Inspect all the connections control module 2 for cooling fan, faulty
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
