The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault egr system, regulation range not reached retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start angle sensors 1 for butterfly valve drive 2 (g297), signal too largely you can see the power supply voltage terminal 15, open circuit will delay your vw fault. |

What To Check After Fixing 12988 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel rail sensor (g401), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
