12985 Possible Causes:
12985 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 12985 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 4, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
