The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault control module 2 for cooling fan, faulty It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake mass-airflow sensor 4 (g457), signal to low also power supply, malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
12983 Possible Causes:
12983 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 12983 Code
- Inspect all the connections accelerator position sensor 2 (g185), signal too high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
