This something to do with the intake camshaft timing torque management request input signal b It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake camshaft position signal output, circuit low or change exhaust bank 3 mixture adaptation range 3, rich limit exceeded will delay your vw fault. |
12971 Possible Causes:
12971 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12971 Code
- Inspect all the connections transmission coolant circuit relay, short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
