The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault please check dtc memory of instrument panel ecu It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake turbo/super charger wastegate solenoid d (n389), signal high or change automatic glow time control relay 2, electrical malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
12970 Possible Causes:
12970 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 12970 Code
- Inspect all the connections power supply terminal 30, voltage too low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
