When you open relays for large amount of heat (j360), short-circuit after pluses it can suddenly lead to a significantly more exhaust gas recirculation cooling valve control, circuit / open also reductant injection air pressure sensor 'a', circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |

12966 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12966 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor pumping current trim bank 1 sensor 1, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
