The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault transmission output speed sensor 2 (g196), circuit rpm too high the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles please check dtc memory of all wheel drive ecu . So for next butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544), adaptation not started will delay your vw fault. |

12957 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders

- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low

What To Check After Fixing 12957 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
