12949 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing vehicle speed signal, circuit open retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start fuel injection valve 2 (n367), open circuit . On the other hand please check dtc memory of airbag ecu is the final reason of the code. |
12949 Possible Causes:
12949 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 12949 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 1 mixture adaptation range 3, lean limit not reached
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
