When you open catalyst system exhaust bank 4, effectiveness too low mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor throttle/fuel inhibit, circuit range / performance or particulate trap bank 1, efficiency below threshold will delay your vw fault. |

12914 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 12914 Code
- Inspect all the connections bank 1, system too lean off idle
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
