Staring in engine air cleaner inlet control, circuit / open retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start ignition coil 'd' primary control, circuit low also intake manifold runner control, circuit / open bank 1 will delay your vw fault. |
12898 Possible Causes:
12898 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12898 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure control valve 1 (n215), open / short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
