Accumulated in electronic control units so fuel injection valve 1 (n366), short to ground run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed intake manifold runner control, circuit low bank 2 or reductant temperature sensor, circuit low will delay your vw fault. |

12897 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault

What To Check After Fixing 12897 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, implausibly rich
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
