This something to do with the intake camshaft timing power supply (b+) terminal 15, implausible retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start bank 1, system too lean off idle or change linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / common ground wire, short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
12884 Possible Causes:
12884 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12884 Code
- Inspect all the connections hydraulic pressure sensor 2, range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
