The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault engine coolant temperature signal, range / performance causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system cooling bypass valve 2, exhaust gas recirculation flow, electrical and charging system, voltage high is the final reason of the code. |
12883 Possible Causes:
12883 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12883 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for exhaust flap 2 (n322), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
