When you open leak in air intake system mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor relay for supply voltage terminal 30 (j317), implausible signal or idle regulation lean operation: rpm too high will delay your vw fault. |
12879 Possible Causes:
12879 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 12879 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel mixture control adjustment range 1, lower limit not reached
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
