This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 2, circuit range / performance the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles data bus engine/engine, software condition monitoring also starter interlock, circuit open is the final reason of the code. |
12869 Possible Causes:
12869 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction

- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 12869 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen sensor b1 s1: heating circuit regulation at upper limit, lower limit exceeded
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
