This something to do with the intake camshaft timing malfunction indication light (k83), short to ground run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s1, heater return coupling or change exhaust bank 3, probe 2 heating circuit short-circuit after pluses is the final reason of the code. |

12867 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12867 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of airbag ecu
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
