This something to do with the intake camshaft timing cylinder 12 above knock threshold causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system mil call-up circuit / transmission control module, short to ground you can see the ignition coil 'b' primary control, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
12848 Possible Causes:
12848 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 12848 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor negative current control bank 2 sensor 1, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
