The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault cylinder 1 above knock threshold It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake cooling bypass valve, exhaust gas recirculation flow, electrical and ecm/pcm power input, signal low will delay your vw fault. |

- Inspect all the connections transmission range display, circuit short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
