This something to do with the intake camshaft timing linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / reference voltage, open circuit run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, voltage too low during deceleration also temperature sensors for drive cycle radiator exhaust (g382), signal too largely is the final reason of the code. |
12842 Possible Causes:
12842 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

What To Check After Fixing 12842 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
