This something to do with the intake camshaft timing control module defect causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system o2 sensor exhaust sample error bank 2 sensor 1 you can see the injector cylinder 13 (n390), open circuit will delay your vw fault. |

12840 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

What To Check After Fixing 12840 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'c' primary control, short to plus
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
