This something to do with the intake camshaft timing valve for pump - jet: cylinder 10 (n306), range / performance It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake vacuum reservoir pressure sensor, circuit range / performance or throttle/pedal position sensor 'c', maximum stop performance is the final reason of the code. |
12838 Possible Causes:
12838 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 12838 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection pump-d-relay (j705), circuit open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
