When you open valve for starting with empty tank-nxxx, open or short to ground retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start intake manifold runner control, circuit / open bank 2 and throttle actuator control system, ice blockage will delay your vw fault. |
12817 Possible Causes:
12817 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12817 Code
- Inspect all the connections direct ozone reduction catalyst deterioration sensor, circuit intermittent / erratic
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
