12812 Description And Summary :

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing engine coolant temperature signal, short to ground It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 1, biased / stuck lean you can see the injector cylinder 16 (n393), circuit high will delay your vw fault.

12812 Possible Causes:

12812 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
  • O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
  • Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
  • Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 12812 Code

  • Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor 'd', maximum stop performance
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
