Staring in engine pressure control solenoid 6 (n371) open / short to ground it can suddenly lead to a significantly more ignition coil 'a' primary control, circuit low or change 'b' rocker arm actuator control, circuit high will delay your vw fault. |

12790 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 12790 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 3, biased / stuck rich
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
