Diagnosing engine bar with exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit intermittent / erratic retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / common ground wire, open circuit and transmission output speed sensor 2 (g196), circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
12789 Possible Causes:
12789 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 12789 Code
- Inspect all the connections coolant pump control, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
