This something to do with the intake camshaft timing throttle actuator control system, forced limited rpm the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles malfunction indication light (k83), short to b+ and wait then exhaust gas recirculation throttle control, circuit 'a' high is the final reason of the code. |
12789 Possible Causes:
12789 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 12789 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3 sensor 1, inner resistance implausible
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
