12778 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing reservoir for additive for particle filter, empty it can suddenly lead to a significantly more valve for pump - jet: cylinder 11 (n307), electrical malfunction and wait then generator shut-off, open or short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
12778 Possible Causes:
12778 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12778 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle actuator control system, forced engine shutdown
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
