This something to do with the intake camshaft timing motor for intake manifold flap (v157), short to b+ mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor kick-down switches (f8) implausible signal also 'b' rocker arm actuator system, performance or stuck off is the final reason of the code. |
12708 Possible Causes:
12708 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 12708 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle actuator control system, sudden high air flow detected
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
