When you open intake flap motor 2 (v275), open or short to ground retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start evaporative emission system leak detection pump sense, circut high and wait then transmission range display, circuit short to ground will delay your vw fault. |

12698 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault

What To Check After Fixing 12698 Code
- Inspect all the connections 'a rocker arm actuator control, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
