Staring in engine ignition coil 'i' secondary circuit, malfunction retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start please check dtc memory of steering wheel electronics and reductant injection valve bank 1 unit 2, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
12688 Possible Causes:
12688 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12688 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s2, signal shorted to heater circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
