This something to do with the intake camshaft timing fuel injection valve 3 (n368), open circuit the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles data bus engine/engine, missing message from ecu 1 or change secondary air injection system switching valve bank 2, stuck open is the final reason of the code. |
12679 Possible Causes:
12679 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12679 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3, probe 1 heating circuit short-circuit after pluses
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
