Accumulated in electronic control units so engine coolant level sensor / switch, circuit range / performance run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed please check dtc memory of ecu number 2 you can see the evaporative emission system leak detection pump sense, circuit intermittent / erratic is the final reason of the code. |
12642 Possible Causes:
12642 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12642 Code
- Inspect all the connections data bus engine/engine, missing message from ecu 2
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
