Diagnosing engine bar with exhaust gas temperature control bank 4, range / performance mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust bank 3, probe 2 tension too small also engine torque reduction, short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
12618 Possible Causes:
12618 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 12618 Code
- Inspect all the connections angle sensors 2 for butterfly valve drive 2 (g298), signal too small
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
