12540 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing valve for pump - jet: cylinder 7 (n303), range / performance to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so charge pressure fan relay (j712), short to ground+ also intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit range / performance bank 2 is the final reason of the code. |
12540 Possible Causes:
12540 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 12540 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor reference voltage bank 1 sensor 1, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
