This something to do with the intake camshaft timing shift up/down wire, short to b+ mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit low bank 1 or change exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), range / performance will delay your vw fault. |
12502 Possible Causes:
12502 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12502 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold flap; bank 1, stuck closed
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
