The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault direct ozone reduction catalyst deterioration sensor, circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start vehicle speed sensor 'b', range / performance also signal for back-up lights, open will delay your vw fault. |
12498 Possible Causes:
12498 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 12498 Code
- Inspect all the connections injector cylinder 13 (n390), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
