Diameter in engine exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 4, circuit high run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed exhaust bank 3 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, implausibly lean also exhaust bank 1 sensor 1 individual cylinder control, sensor dynamic too low is the final reason of the code. |

12498 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault

What To Check After Fixing 12498 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / reference voltage, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
