12494 Description And Summary :

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault turbo/super charger wastegate solenoid c (n388), signal high It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake o2 sensor negative current control bank 1 sensor 1, circuit high or change vacuum reservoir pressure sensor, circuit will delay your vw fault.

12494 Possible Causes:

12494 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
  • Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
  • Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
  • Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
  • Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
  • Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
  • Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low

What To Check After Fixing 12494 Code

  • Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of transmission ecu
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
